My wife and I ate here about a month ago. The place was very busy and the waitstaff seemed unprepared for the amount of traffic. We waited quite a while for our drinks and were disappointed to find out that only the non-alcoholic kinds were available (they hadn’t received their liquor license yet).

The food was surprisingly good. It’s not standard Tex-Mex, much more interior type of cuisine.

I second the high opinion of Heche in Mexico. I love their food; I compare it to a cheaper version of Fonda San Miguel. the only issue I have found so far is that it does take a long time to get food. The owners appears fairly young, but a talented chef, and I don’t think that running a waitstaff is his best talent yet. Also, the food is prepared fresh when you order. The lack of liquor license doesn’t bother me, as we always get it “to go” and have a beer at home.
