I’d like Route 171 (Oak Hill Flyer) to make a stop at Brush Coutry/William Cannon.

I’d like to see the 333 (William Cannon) route come down all the way to 290, instead of turning at Brodie, at least half the time.

I’m very interested in Capital Metro providing better service to our community through this initiative. I’ve always felt that the “outer” areas of Austin (Oak Hill used to be one) have been left out of the system.

The few times I have used the bus have been very inconvenient. I would like to see Capital Metro increase coverage in our area, making the bus a viable option for all residents.

I got a quote from this couple based on the recommendation from this website. The old man was so out of it that he stumbled into the room and couldn’t even see what he was supposed to be painting. The woman reeked of cigarettes. Needless to say, I didn’t use them.

They took back a live oak that was hanging over the electrical wires, and did it cleanly and protected from Oak Wilt. They also took out photinias, as well as the stumps, and were reasonably priced. Very professional.

If you want to see the kitchen he did for me, send me an email. The quality is like a Parade of Homes house.

And let me add a big thanks to the manager and staff at the Scooters at Mopac and William Cannon for delivering coffee to our Clean Sweep group at Gaines Creek. Thanks Juan!

Thanks to everyone who participated in Clean Sweep Austin on Saturday! We had an excellent turnout at four areas in Oak Hill to clean up sections of Williamson and Gaines Creeks. Hope that everyone had a good time – look for the Clean Sweep sign-up again this time next year!

We walked the new trail this evening and loved it! There are still two large cedar mulch piles to distribute along the trail but we made quite a dent on Saturday! Long pants are a good idea since we spotted some poison oak along the way.

Thanks to all the Westcreek residents and OHTA members who participated. And special thanks to Louis at Bartlett Tree for volunteering his time and mulcher for most of the day!!

I second the high opinion of Heche in Mexico. I love their food; I compare it to a cheaper version of Fonda San Miguel. the only issue I have found so far is that it does take a long time to get food. The owners appears fairly young, but a talented chef, and I don’t think that running a waitstaff is his best talent yet. Also, the food is prepared fresh when you order. The lack of liquor license doesn’t bother me, as we always get it “to go” and have a beer at home.

Heidi has good ideas for native perennials, bed designs, uses only organic products, mulch, compost and more.

They scraped the popcorn off my ceilings, fixed problems with the ceiling “drooping” in some areas, retextured the ceiling and painted the entire house. Extremely clean, cleaned up at the end of every day, prompt, foreman spoke fluent English. Very courteous and took care to carefully protect my home, didn’t get any paint on any areas (hinges, door knobs, etc) that weren’t supposed to be painted. A little bit expensive, but you definitely get a first-class job.
