Austin High School
Home of the Maroons!
Principal: Dr. Lucio Calzada
Stephen F. Austin High School has a history of more than eleven decades. Three buildings, magnificent for their times, have housed the school. The first campus was built in 1900 as the “finest public high school in the South.” Steeped in tradition and clinging to a “Tradition of Excellence,” Austin High School maintains high expectations in academics, athletics, citizenship, and service. Students from diverse backgrounds meet at Austin High School, a place where “Everybody is Somebody.”

The Academy for Global Studies at Austin High School http://www.agsaustin.org/index.htm
“Academy for Global Studies is a school within a school, providing an internationally focused curriculum to a close-knit community of learners. Each year 125 freshmen will join the AGS family to undertake a course of study that highlights the interdependencies and connections among world regions that combine to shape our increasingly global society. Students explore cultural traditions both on the world and local scales, while building their own culture as AGS students within the larger Austin High School community.”
