What is the List Serve vs. the Yahoo Group?

A List Serve is a one-way communication tool that is used to send emails out.  This List Serve is only used by the WNA Board to broadcast important messages to Westcreekers.  It is not like the Yahoo Group where all registered users can post and others may reply and even engage in conversations about a topic.

In the past, the List Serve has been used to communicate important information from the WNA Board to residents.  The List Serve has not been used as often in the recent past.

The WNA Board is reviewing the current list serve software program to determine if it can be efficiently maintained and how it could be better utilized to communicate to all neighbors, including those who may not be on the Yahoo Group.  We may decide to keep the List Serve as a separate email method or we may consolidate and solely utilize the Yahoo Group for all messages.
