On June 12, 2014, City Council will vote on a resolution which would initiate “amendments to City Code Title 25 to reduce regulatory barriers to accessory dwelling units that are less than 500 square feet, including but not limited to eliminating parking and driveway requirements; and directing the City Manager to convene a stakeholder process for additional recommendations” (currently item # 65 on the Thursday, June 12, 2014 agenda).
The Westcreek Neighborhood Association was just made aware of this resolution and has sent a formal letter of opposition to Austin City Council. On Wednesday, June 4, we sent out an email to all residents on our email list serve to explain the resolution and the basis of our opposition.
