Winter Storm Mara Recovery: Emergency Repairs   Your safety continues to be the Development Services Department’s (DSD) top priority. Please note that permits are not required to start work on emergency repairs. Efforts to secure your home or business can begin immediately, and DSD will work with you to ensure repairs were completed safely.    Emergency inspections for electrical and plumbing repairs are available 24/7. To schedule an inspection, call 512-974-2030 for electrical work or 512-974-1520 for plumbing work. If an inspector does not answer, please leave a message. Your call will be returned shortly.    You can find additional information about emergency repairs, permitting, and inspections at austintexas.gov/emergency-permits.
