Westcreek August/ September Yard of the Month

The Aug/Sept Yard of the Month was awarded to George and Jean Fuller at 5507, Honey Dew Terrace. The Fullers bought their home in 1981 and moved into Westcreek to raise their young family. The selling point of the property, according to Jean, were the beautiful, huge live oak trees in the front yard.
Breaking up the large front lawn is a bed of Cannas mixed with Pride of Barbados, Plumbago, Foxtail Fern, and Lantana. Our recent blessing of a few generous rainfalls has plants perking up and blooming again!
Hanging baskets of Boston fern frame the pathway to the entrance where large potted philodendron graces a shaded sitting area. Purple fountain grass planted on either side of the mailbox adds another touch of color to the yard.
The Fuller’s were delighted with their yard of the month award and look forward to using the $50 LEAF Landscape gift card, the $45 dinner card at Cypress Grill, and a free oil change at Klingemann’s Automotive. The October yard of the month will be awarded later this month for the best Halloween decorations. Be sure you are a paid Westcreek Neighborhood Association member so you can be considered for yard of the month.
